Hamas, Ansarullah condemn assassination of Iranian commander in Syria

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement in separate statements have censured the assassination of an Iranian military advisor in Syria by the Israeli regime.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement in separate statements have censured the assassination of an Iranian military advisor in Syria by the Israeli regime.

Describing the Zionist regime’s assassination of Iranian Brigadier General Razi Mousavi in Syria as a crime and a cowardly attack, Hamas stated on Tuesday that the Israeli airstrike on the suburbs of the Syrian capital of Damascus was a violation of the sovereignty of an Arab country.

Hamas extended condolences to the IRGC for the martyrdom of Mousavi, affirming that the crimes of the Israeli occupation, both inside and outside Palestine, will not succeed in breaking the will of their people and nation, nor will they eliminate their ongoing resistance.

In a separate statement, Ansarullah condemned the assassination of the Iranian military advisor in Syria and termed it in line with the crimes of the Zionist regime and the US against Islamic nations.

This crime represents the defeat and confusion of the Zionist regime, which is tolerating painful blows on various fronts, it added.

The statement noted that Brigadier General Mousavi was one of the resistance men who spent his life confronting the American and Israeli projects. He also played a prominent role in confronting US-backed and Israeli-backed Takfiri groups in Syria.

Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi was a senior member of the IRGC, who was in charge of logistics support for the Resistance Front in Syria. He was martyred in an Israeli airstrike in the Zeinabiyah district of Damascus on Monday. Seyyed Razi was among the companions of martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
