Iran to respond to ill-wishers of its national interests: Velayati

A senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says that Iran, as the owner of the trio islands, will give the necessary response to the ill-wishers of its national interests.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says that Iran, as the owner of the trio islands, will give the necessary response to the ill-wishers of its national interests.

Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks reacting to the 6th Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum statement held on Wednesday in Morroco, regarding Iran’s trio islands.

This meeting was held in Morocco with the presence of some Arabs who are indifferent to the fate of the Palestinians and Russian experts, he said, adding that the statement issued in the summit has many problems, the most important of which is interference in Iran's affairs.

"Of course, we are not responsible for the unprofessional, irrational, and interventionist actions of other countries, but we remind that countries involved in political disputes should be more careful in their positions towards the Islamic Republic of Iran," he stressed.

Saying that the strategic and friendly relations between Iran and Russia have not been achieved easily, Velayati added that in a condition where Russia is in a complicated international situation, the adoption of some positions by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is regrettable.

Condemning the position of the United Arab Emirates over Iran's trio islands, the Leader's advisor further stressed, "The UAE, which has unfortunately taken a deplorable position in relation to the Palestinians and supporting the killing of the oppressed people of Gaza and supporting Israel, instead of taking practical action to stop this killing, it repeats the old and closed case of this baseless claim."
