Gaza death toll rises to over 18,412 and 50,100 wounded

According to the latest figures from the Health Ministry, at least 18,412 people have been killed and 50,100 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.

In the occupied West Bank, 275 have been killed and 3,365 have been wounded.

The revised death toll in the Israeli-occupied territories stands at 1,147.

Twenty out of the 105 Israeli soldiers killed in the Gaza Strip during the ground offensive were killed by friendly fire and in shooting accidents, according to new data released by the Israeli army and reported by local media.

Thirteen among them were killed by friendly fire – including air strikes, tank fire, and gunfire.

Some were also killed by accidental misfires or by shrapnel from explosives intentionally set off by Israeli forces.

Israeli media added that some soldiers were killed after being mistakenly identified as Hamas fighters.

Israeli forces raid Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, raising fears for the lives of medics and patients at the medical center.

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance forces launched a surprise operation called Al-Aqsa Storm against Israeli positions, to retaliate the Israeli regime closed all the crossings of the Gaza strip and is bombarding this area.

A special UN General Assembly session is to be held on Tuesday. It comes after Egypt and Mauritania invoked resolution 377, “Uniting for Peace”.

UN forces in Lebanon have warned of a “wider conflict” as Israel and Hezbollah escalate air raids and drone attacks.
