Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs paid a visit to Malaysia’s Restu Foundation.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs paid a visit to Malaysia’s Restu Foundation.

The Restu Foundation in Shah Alam, Selangor, is a center for Kitaba (writing) and printing the Holy Quran.

During the visit, Chairman of Restu Foundation Datuk Haji Abdul Latif Mirasa said it is the largest Quranic foundation in the Southeast Asian country.

He said it is active in the fields of Quran memorization, teaching the Holy Book and Quranic arts.

He referred to his recent trip to Iran at the head of a ten-strong delegation and said the delegation learned about the activities of Quran printing and publication centers in Iran and held talks on developing Quranic cooperation between the two countries.

Mirasa further pointed to the recent acts of Quran desecration in several countries and said the Restu Foundation has decided to print and send one million copies of the Quran to different countries for every copy of the Quran that is desecrated.

Habib Reza Arzani, the Iranian Cultural Attaché in Malaysia, who accompanied Hojat-ol-Islam Navab during the tour of the foundation, said Tehran and Kuala Lumpur are going to cooperate in printing a joint Mus’haf of the Quran.

Noting that the Restu Foundation is the largest Quranic foundation in the world after the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex in Saudi Arabia, Arzani hoped that the Iranian Cultural Center in Malaysia would benefit from the foundation’s cooperation and valuable services in the field of promoting the Quranic teachings.

Founded in 1998, the Restu Foundation aims to promote the message of Islam in the world, enhance ties among Muslims all over the world and revive Islamic arts in Malaysia.
