AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has penned a letter to the International Criminal Court (ICC), demanding the global institution to terminate the impunity of the Zionist regime.

In his correspondence to the ICC’s president and prosecutor, Amirabdollahian underscored the urgency of addressing the Palestine case and expediting the condemnation of the Zionists’ transgressions in the Gaza Strip.

He reminded the ICC of the Israeli regime’s brutal assault on Gaza, which resulted in the loss of over 14,000 lives and left more than 32,000 injured. He characterized these atrocities as egregious violations of international law, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

Amirabdollahian wrote that support from certain nations has emboldened the regime, enabling it to persist in its brutality and violence with absolute impunity. He emphasized the ICC’s commitment to prosecute the instigators of these crimes to halt their continuation.

He noted that handling the Palestine case is a litmus test for the ICC’s judicial independence and impartiality and added that the international body faces a choice: to stand firm against certain powers or to capitulate and allow the Zionist regime’s brutality to continue.
