AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that the Zionist regime was knocked out in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" incident.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian sports champions and medal winners of the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games at the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah on Wednesday morning.
Leader added that Hamas, as a fighter group, neither as a government nor as a country with many facilities, was able to knock out the usurping Zionist government with all those facilities.
Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, hailed the country's athletes and medalists and stated: "Medals are a sign of your hard work. I would like to thank the lady who carried the flag of this round of Asian competitions with a full hijab and showed the identity and personality of Iranian women in the eyes of the world."
The Leader added: "I thank the sportswoman who refused to shake hands with a non-Maḥram man during the awarding of the medal. The importance of these matters is not less than the sport itself, but more. I thank the lady who went on the podium with her baby and received her medal."
Ayatollah Khamenei said: "This is a symbolic move; this movement in the world means respecting women for the role of family and motherhood
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: "I thank the athletes who added value to their sports. They prostrated on the ground after the victory, raised their hands in prayer in the middle of the sports field, kissed the flag, and prostrated."
Ayatollah Khamenei stated: "These show and record the identity of Iranian Islamic athletes and the identity of the Iranian nation in front of the eyes of hundreds of millions of spectators."
Stating that a strong Iran must have a strong sport, the Leader stated: "The strength of sports lies in adopting the right measures in choosing the coach and the composition of national teams in all sports and in taking serious care of the occurrence of problems in sports; Everyone should be careful not to cause a disaster in the sports of the country. disaster means economic corruption, the formation of a sports mafia inside, and moral problems for our athletes."
Referring to the recent events in Gaza, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution appreciated the athletes who support the oppressed and powerful people of Palestine and added: "I thank the national team that entered the pitch with a keffiyeh as a sign of defending the oppressed and the athletes who each took a stand in support of Palestine."
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "I thank the athletes who donated their medals to the children of Gaza and to the martyrs of the hospital that was the site of the disaster created by the Zionist regime. I thank the athletes who refused to face the Zionist side."
The Leader said: "Today it will be known what the right thing they did; the truth of this is more evident today than ever. These works show the prominent, logical, and self-confident face of the Iranian nation in front of the eyes of hundreds of millions of people watching sports.; This is part of Iran's national power."
