AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has sent separate letters to leaders of 50 countries, calling on them to put political and economic pressure on the Israeli regime to halt its genocide in Gaza.
Pointing to the mounting death toll and destruction of civilian infrastructure in Gaza, President Raisi criticized the dual standards adopted by some Western governments that are deliberately turning a blind eye to violations of basic humanitarian principles, ethics, and rights in the face of Israeli crimes against Palestinians.
In the letter -- addressed to leaders of 50 countries, including Russia, China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Kenya, and Jordan – Raisi said it was expected of all independent and freedom-seeking nations, to unite against the Israeli regime.
The Iranian president urged those countries to become instrumental in putting an end to the Israeli atrocities in Gaza by ending their political and economic ties with the occupying regime.
The letter was sent out on Monday, as the Israeli regime’s relentless bombing of Gaza entered its 45th day. More than 13,000 Palestinians have been killed in the blockaded territory since October 7, when the war began.
