AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with the UN’s Emergency Relief Chief Martin Griffith to discuss Gaza.
Amir-Abdollahian is visiting the Swiss city of Geneva in continuation of Iranian diplomatic efforts amid the Zionist regime of the Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
Over the past few weeks since the launch of the Zionist Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip, Amir-Abdollahian also made trips to the region. In the first round of his tour, he went to Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Qatar, and in the meetings with the officials of those Muslims countries, he discussed the situation in Gaza and Palestine and also held talks with the leaders of the Lebanese and Palestinian Resistance in Beirut and Doha.
After that, the Iranian foreign minister went to Jeddah to participate in the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and in addition to participating in the meeting and presenting suggestions, he met and talked with some counterparts and officials present at the Jeddah meeting.
He also went to New York to participate in the UN General Assembly meeting on the Gaza situation. While in New York, he participated in a UNGA meeting and also met with the UN Secretary-General and the foreign ministers of Indonesia and Jordan and discussed the situation in Gaza with them.
In the second round of his consultations in the region, Amir-Abdollahian visited Qatar and Turkey and met with the officials of those countries.
The top diplomat of Iran further accompanied President Ebrahim Raeisi on his visit to the Saudi Arabia capital to attend the OIC-Arab Summit to discuss the situation in Gaza.
