AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian is planning to make an immediate visit to Switzerland as part of his diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict in the Palestinian enclave of the Gaza Strip.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Tuesday that Amirabdollahian will hold talks with senior United Nations and International Committee of the Red Cross officials in Geneva to expedite efforts for delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza where people have been suffering from more than a month of Israeli aggression.
Amirabdollahian has made trips to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey since Israel launched its aggression against Gaza on October 7.
More than 11,000 people have been killed in Israel’s one-sided war on Gaza while the war has left tens of thousands either injured or unaccounted for.
