AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Expressing hope that holding a joint meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League can help stop the criminal attacks of the Zionist regime as soon as possible, lift the siege and provide aid to the defenceless and innocent people of Gaza, the President added, "Today, the need to strengthen relations between Islamic countries is felt more than any other time”.
On the sidelines of the joint meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League in Riyadh, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi met with the President of Mauritania, Mr Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, stated that there is no obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries and we are ready to develop bilateral relations in various economic, cultural and political fields”.

Dr Raisi stated that the conservative and compromising stances of some countries made the Zionist regime suffer miscalculations and stated, “In fact, these countries stabbed the resistance in the back. While 6 Arab countries could not resist the Zionist regime, today Hamas, which has no organised sea, air or ground forces, is actively resisting this regime, which is nothing but the grace of God Almighty”.
In this meeting, the President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, also appreciated Dr Raisi's speech and clear positions at the Arab-Islamic Summit in support of Gaza and said, “Mauritania closely follows the positions of the Islamic Republic and you personally, and I hope these clear and stable positions can be effective in improving the situation in Gaza”.
Ghazouani spoke about his country's readiness to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasised that there is no obstacle in the way of raising the level of bilateral relations.
