AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A delegation of Indian Sikh community expressed solidarity with Palestinians as brutal Israeli strikes on Gaza has killed more than 9,000 since the start of the war.
A Sikh community delegation led by former president of DSGMC, Manjeet Singh GK, on Thursday met the Palestinian Ambassador to India Adnan Abu Al-Hija and offered help to those affected by the Israel-Hamas conflict.
"The big countries are playing politics with both sides. Today the Palestine ambassador briefed us about the history and number of wars fought between both parties," ETV Bharat quoted Manjeet Singh as saying.
"Almost 13,000 people have been killed in the current conflict. We condemn such attacks and the killings should stop," he said, calling on the sides to come to the negotiation table.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum to the Ambassador after expressing their concerns about the ongoing conflict and offering to help.
"We understand that Palestine is currently facing a humanitarian crisis and we offer our assistance to provide aid to the people of Palestine and their requirements of civil and food supplies. Sikhs around the world are deeply concerned about the ongoing conflict in West Asia," the memorandum read.
The war started after Palestinian resistance forces in the Gaza Strip launched a surprise operation against Israeli-occupied territories on October 7. Since then, the occupation regime has launched raids on the besieged territory via air, sea, and land, killing more than 9,000 people, mostly women and children, and injuring thousands more.
