AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The member states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) called on all of the UN member countries to vote for the immediate ceasefire in the war on Gaza.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the PGCC stressed that the war in Gaza will not cause the Palestinian nation to give up its rights and will not be satisfied but with the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
The statement said that the PGCC strongly condemned the violence in Gaza and seeks to stop it.
The PGCC members said they are surprised by those states that considered the Israeli regime's raid on Gaza as an act of self-defense.
The extensive air raids on the Gazan people mingled with a blockade on them came after the Palestinian resistance forces carried out the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the Israeli regime's forces on October 7 in response to the regime's daily crimes against the Palestinian people during 75 years of occupation of Palestine.
According to Palestinian officials, the death toll in Gaza has risen to more than 7,000 people, including nearly 3,000 children. Als, more than 1,400 Israelis were killed in the occupied territories of Palestine.
Only a “handful” of aid convoys have been allowed into Gaza and the situation for besieged and bombed Palestinians is spiraling out of control, says Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the UN’s Palestine refugees agency, as Al-Jazeera reports.
