AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Saeedi considered the pilgrimage to Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) to be a part of civilization of that noble lady and said,” Pilgrimage does not mean tourism; Rather, it means presenting oneself in the presence of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) and measuring one's personality, beliefs, morals and actions with that noble lady.”
Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi attended a group meeting with the managers and members of the Basij Organization of Tehran Municipality, which was held on Wednesday, October 25 in the Shabestan of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Hazrat Masoumeh Holy Shrine during which he expressed his condolences on the days of martyrdom of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) and said,” Considering the hostility of the Bani Abbas against The Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) and the martyrdom of the father, brother and nephew of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) at their hands, as well as the martyrdom of many companions of the Prophet by the order of the ruling body, the martyrdom of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) has been confirmed for many scholars.”
The Shia scholar further stated that the imams (PBUT) performed duties in two important fields, military and cultural aspects, and added,” the efforts of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) in the military field was to assert their rights, exalt the word of Allah, and remove danger from the Islamic society until the time of Imam Hussain; But in the cultural field, their activities never stopped.”
Referring to the cultural activities of Lady Masuma (PBUH), the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Masuma expressed,” the extensive activity of Lady Masuma (PBUH) in Medina in the cultural field started since her childhood to the point where she even answered the questions of people who visited the house of Imam Al-Kadhim (PBUH) and her answers were approved by the Imam.”
Referring to the emigration of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) from Madinah to Merv after receiving a letter from her brother Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (PBUH), he said,” After that letter, Lady Masoumeh started her lasting and history-making migration and this movement marked a civilizational act.”
Ayatollah Saeedi considered the development of civilization as one of the great missions of divine prophets, saints and jurists in the age of occultation and added,” The development of civilization by Lady Masoumeh (PBUH) was such that they turned the city of Qom into a center for the presence of scholars and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt and knowledge was spread from this city to the world.”
He considered the pilgrimage of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) as a part of the chain of civilization of that noble lady and said,” Pilgrimage does not mean tourism; Rather, it means presenting oneself in the presence of Lady Masoumeh (PBUH) and measuring one's personality, beliefs, morals and actions with that noble lady.”
Custodian of Lady Masuma (PBUH) Holy Shrine further pointed out that the positions of the Ahl al-Bayt are stated in their pilgrimage letters, and said,” offering prayers, alms giving, enjoining the good and forbidding the evil are among the important measures of the Ahl al-Bayt, and we should also align ourselves with these acts.”
He considered one of the important tasks of the municipality to be creating civilization and said,” We take orders from God and the Quran, and if something in our civilization and urban development is against the instructions of the Sharia and the Quran, we must warn each other in order to correct it.”
