Bagheri stresses ceasefire, humanitarian aid to Gaza as Iran's top priorities

Iran's deputy foreign minister for political affairs met Hamas representatives in Moscow, stating that Iran's top priority is ceasefire and humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Ahglulbayt News Agency:  Iran's deputy foreign minister for political affairs met Hamas representatives in Moscow, stating that Iran's top priority is ceasefire and humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Iranian deputy foreign ministr for political affairs discussed a cease-fire and providing humanitarian support to Gaza at Thursday's meeting.

In this meeting, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the fundamental positions of the Islamic Republic in supporting Palestine and the resistance, and said: "Tehran's priority in negotiations with foreign parties is an immediate ceasefire, providing aid to the people and lifting the oppressive blockade of Gaza by the Zionist regime, and Iran is seriously pursuing this issue at various levels."

In this meeting, Abu Marzouk, a member of the political office of Hamas, also expressed his appreciation for the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Palestinian people and the resistance. He added: "Al-Aqsa storm operation is different and not comparable to all the previous wars with the Zionist regime, because it showed the US and Netanyahu's western allies the cowardice of the Zionists against the resistance force and the besieged people of Gaza."

Abu Marzouk noted: "By sending 45 planes carrying weapons and modern military equipment to Tel Aviv, the Americans believe that they will be able to crush or destroy the resistance of the people of Gaza.

Hamas official added: "But we believe that the oppressed people of Gaza, with God's grace and God's help, will come victorious out of this unequal battle that is being imposed upon them with the support of the US and a number of Western countries."

In response to the crimes committed by the Zionists, the Palestinian resistance forces launched the Al-Aqsa flood operation from the Gaza Strip against the positions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

According to the report of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 7,800 people were martyred and about 20,000 were injured during the 21 days of the Zionist regime's aggression against the Gaza strip.
