Ahlulbayt News Agency: The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria community in Nigeria has highlighted role of the holy book of Islam in leading the people to embrace Islam.
Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) said interpretation of the holy book of Islam has played a key role in attracting the people to Islam highlighting loyalty of both Muslims and non-Muslims to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
He hailed the increasing popularity of Qur’anic circles and memorization of the holy book, particularly during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Meeting with a group of prominent seminary scholars and teachers at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad, Sheikh Zakzaky noted that the devotion to the prophet of Islam and his infallible household is not confined to the Muslim community in Nigeria.
The senior cleric also referred to establishment of Islamic schools across the country and noted the plans to promote Islamic teachings among the adolescents.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ahmad Marvi, the custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), in this meeting lauded the endeavors of the Nigerian cleric in promoting Islamic teachings in the African country.
Since his arrival in Iran, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky has met with the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and a number of top religious figures in the capital Tehran and the holy city of Mashhad.
