AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A conference in support of Palestine was organized at the Islamic University of Ghana.
Speakers at the conference elaborated on the historical events, including those taking place during the Ottoman Empire and since the World War II, that have led to the current situation in Palestine.
Understanding the historical background is necessary to know all aspects of the conditions in Palestine today, they stressed.
They also said the issue of Palestine is not limited to the followers of one faith but it is a global issue.
The speakers further underlined unity in the Islamic Ummah in supporting the oppressed people, including the people of Palestine.
They said the current war in Palestine is one between an apartheid regime and an oppressed people.
Highlighting the barbarity of the Israeli regime that has led to the deaths of thousands of people in the Gaza Strip, the speakers urged people to boycott Israeli products and every entity that supports the occupation regime.
The Zionist regime’s airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip has so far claimed the lives of more than 4,700 people, mostly civilians, while leaving more than 15,000 others injured.
