AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim received on Thursday, October 19, 2023, Hamas and Islamic Jihad representatives Dr. Khaled Qaddoumi and Nasser Abu Sharif.
Ayatollah Qassim addressed the representatives of the two movements by stressing: "The nation will remain as long as there are people like you." He went on to say that "the global tyrant has clamped down on the awakening of collective conscience, and then began to do what it does best, not fearing any conscience or the reaction of global conscience."
"The strong reaction should be in line with the ugliness of the event. The current response is cold and lifeless," he said.
He pointed out that "although the nation witnesses a significant retreat from its prescribed duty so far, it has begun to walk on the legitimate path, and this beginning will bring impactful results in the future."
For their part, Qaddoumi and Abu Sharif addressed Ayatollah Qassim by saying: "Pray for us. We also want you to be with us, as you are among the distinguished leaders of the nation who called for jihad from the beginning, and you supported the Palestinian people from the beginning. Our people in Bahrain were among the first to support the Palestinian people and proved to be on this path, and you were a lofty flag in this direction, may God reward you with good rewards."
