AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A number of Muslim shopkeepers in Berlin, the capital of Germany, went on strike to protest the ban on demonstrations in defense of Palestine.
"This strike is because of dissatisfaction and anger with the move of the German government to suppress protests in support of the Palestinian nation," They said in a statement.
The protesters have urged the federal government and the authorities of the German states to end the repression of the supporters of the Palestinian people.
After two weeks of war in Gaza and on the eve of the expected ground invasion of Israeli forces inside Gaza, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza announced that at least 4,137 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza and more than 1,400 people injured so far.
