Iran FM: No guarantee for not expanding Gaza crisis

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has said that if the crimes of the Zionists continue and the current criminal attacks against the citizens of Gaza do not end, no one can guarantee that the scope of the crisis will not expand.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has said that if the crimes of the Zionists continue and the current criminal attacks against the citizens of Gaza do not end, no one can guarantee that the scope of the crisis will not expand.

During a phone conversation on Sunday, Amirabdollahian and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed the latest developments in Palestine.

Referring to the ongoing heinous crimes against Gaza civilians, Amirabdollahian described the situation in the region as very sensitive and noted that now the urgent priority is to stop the attacks and crimes of the Zionist regime against the women, children, and civilians of Gaza.

Pointing to the shocking statistics of the martyrs and injured people due to the Zionist regime's attacks on residential homes and even medical facilities in Gaza, as well as using prohibited weapons, human blockades, cutting off Gaza's water, electricity, and fuel, he termed such crimes as a clear example of war crimes and mass killing of Gaza civilians.

Referring to his recent regional tour and holding meetings with the high-ranking officials of the countries, as well as the leaders of some resistance groups in the region, he said that the situation is very dangerous and worrisome and there is a possibility that the situation will go out of control at any moment.

Recalling the responsibility of the United Nations Security Council in the field of international peace and security, the top Iranian diplomat called on China to use its potential to stop the attacks of the Zionist regime against the citizens of Gaza.

Wang Yi, for his part, expressed concern over the sensitive situation, and said that the international community must oppose attacks on civilians and that the UN Security Council should take responsibility and play a constructive role.

He described mass punishment of the people in Gaza as unacceptable and stressed the need for opening safe corridors in Gaza for relief and humanitarian efforts.
