AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Scholars from different Muslim countries hailed the Palestinians’ operation against the Zionist regime, calling for Muslim world’s support for Palestinians’ rights.
Egypt’s Al-Azhar Islamic Center welcomed the operation and sent greetings to the proud people of Palestine.
In a statement on Saturday, the institution prayed that God will give strength to the Palestinians to stand against the Zionists’ oppression and terrorism and in the face of the world community’s silence on Israeli atrocities.
Al-Azhar also offered its condolences to the families of Palestinian martyrs who have lost their lives in defense of their land and the cause of Palestine.
It called on the international community to recognize the fact that the occupation of Palestine is a disgrace for humanity.
Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawqi Alam also hailed the operation, saying the issue of Palestine is alive for all Muslims all over the world given the religious and civilizational status of the holy city of al-Quds.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of Oman, in post on X hoped for the victory of the Palestinian resistance against the savage Israeli enemy.
Ali Karti, secretary general of Sudan’s Islamic Movement also said the Muslim world will remain steadfast in supporting Palestine in its battle against the Zionists.
Also, the International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) urged Muslim scholars and figures as well as Quran memorizers to pray for the victory of the Palestinian fighters against occupiers.
The Algerian Muslim Scholars Society was another institution in the Muslim world that welcomed the heroic operation against Israel, saying it would, God willing, impose a new equation on the enemy.
It called on all Muslims to support Palestine and its resistance forces.
The Al-Aqsa Flood operation, the Palestinian resistance forces’ attack against the occupation, which began on Saturday morning, has claimed lives of some 300 Israelis so far with while the death toll stands at around 250 among the Palestinians.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip includes 20 children, according to the Health Ministry. At least 120 other minors were wounded.
Palestinian forces have captured dozens of Israeli soldiers during the surprise operation. Meanwhile, Israeli military says it has also taken dozens of Palestinian forces captive.
Hamas announced that the operation was a response to Israel's "crimes" and "massacres" against Palestinians, and called on all Palestinians to confront the regime.
