Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Mustafa Sanu who is in Tehran to participate in the 37th Islamic Unity Conference, had a conversation and exchanged opinions on Tuesday.
In this meeting, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs considered the role of the Islamic Jurisprudence Forum in the new environment of the region as important and influential.
Amir-Abdollahian also emphasized the importance of increasing interactions between Islamic world scholars to strengthen Islamic unity while confronting the challenges facing the Islamic Ummah.
Iran's Foreign Minister emphasized the need for consensus and coordination among Islamic scholars to deal decisively and intelligently with desecrating acts against Islamic sanctities and values. He stated Tehran's readiness to cooperate with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Islamic Fiqh Academy in this field.
Mustafa Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, noting the importance and influential role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Islamic world, expressed his gratitude to Iran for its valuable initiatives and efforts towards the unity of the Islamic Ummah and rapprochement between Islamic religions.
Welcoming the presence and participation of more Iranian scholars and thinkers in the programs of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, he asked for more support from the Islamic Republic of Iran for the OIC's Islamic Fiqh Academy.
In this meeting, the ways to strengthen Iran's interaction and cooperation with the IOIC's Islamic Fiqh Academy were discussed.
