Session of the Clergy, Missionaries, and Clerics of Kenya

The session of the clergy, missionaries, and clerics of Kenya was held with the participation of dozens of seminary graduates and active missionaries in different cities and regions of the country.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The session of the clergy, missionaries, and clerics of Kenya was held in the capital city of Nairobi.

This session was held with the participation of dozens of seminary graduates and active missionaries in different cities and regions of the country.

At the beginning of the session, each of the participants gave a brief explanation about their activities.

Further in the session, Hojat al-Islam Sheikh Ali Samoja, Imam of Jafari Islamic Center in Nairobi expressed, “Missionaries must constantly strengthen their missionary knowledge and skills so that they can fulfill their duties well and increase their effectiveness.”

While referring to the growth of faith, Islam, and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in the African continent, he said, “This makes our mission heavier. However, we’re ready to pursue cultural and religious activities with greater strength and scope.”

Then, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who participated as a special guest in this session, while noting the high level of acceptance of Islam in Africa, said, “During the time of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), some even criticized the miracles. But Bilal the Abyssinian, without seeing the Prophet’s miracles, and only after getting to know the words and teachings that the Prophet expressed, believed in him. This spirit is a source of honor for African people.”

“There is still this golden opportunity for the African youth, women, and men to get acquainted with Islam and its teachings, and this spirit should be appreciated,” he continued.

“Of course, we need to be cautious about the influence of the enemies on the thoughts of the youth through different platforms,” noted the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“God’s religion [Islam] is the greatest divine trust, which He has entrusted to ulama and missionaries,” he emphasized, “Religious scholars [ulama] should try to revive the name of God in the hearts of individuals.”

“We need to update ourselves and study on a daily basis to respond to questions of today’s society, especially from the youth,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“We have the richest content to offer to the human community. Camp meetings and face-to-face communication with young people should be included in the missionaries’ plans,” he said at the end.
