Grand Ayatollah Sistani expressed his condolences over the death of a number of Iraqi citizens following a fire incident in Nineveh.
According to the official statement of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani's office, he expressed their regret and emotion over the fire incident in Hamdaniyah that resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of people.
Ayatollah Sistani, while expressing his condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims, asked God for patience for the survivors, mercy for the deceased and speedy recovery of the injured.
Earlier, the Iraqi Civil Defense announced that 114 people killed and around 200 people were injured in a fire in a wedding hall in the city of Hamdaniyah in the Nineveh province of Iraq.
