AhlulBayt News Agency: The followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the state of Ghana on the African continent, commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari(peace be upon him).
The condolence Council was established by the Center for African Studies affiliated to the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine, and a gathering of followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) attended it to renew condolences on this sad event."
The director of the Center; Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that"the Center is conducting an ongoing program in a number of African countries to revive religious rituals related to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) on the African continent".
"The condolence council was held in the city of New Abirem in the state of Ghana, coordinated and supervised by the Center's preacher; Sheikh Abdul Nasser Akure,"he added.
In his lecture, Sheikh Akure explained the virtues of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari, his status and knowledge, and his roles in preserving the nation and confronting Abbasid oppression.
