AhlulBayt News Agency: Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, saw the Shias and followers of Ahl ul-Bayt (AS) commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (AS).

The program was organized by the Nairobi Shia Network in cooperation with all of the Shia organizations in the capital city and the nearby towns and villages.

The inclusive nature of this event extended an open invitation to both Shias and non-Shias, emphasizing the importance of commemorating the historical event.

Distinguished scholars took the stage to discuss the significance of Arbaeen and how it serves as a unique opportunity to foster unity among Shias worldwide.

Arbaeen occasion is 40 days after Ashura Day, when Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions were martyred in Karbala.

Ashura is the 10th day of Muharram. In 61 AH (October 10, 680 CE), Imam Hussain (AS) and his true companions were martyred in the battle against the army of then-time tyrant Yazid I, led by 'Umar b. Sa'd.
