To raise a voice against such inhuman laws, women in Islamabad staged a petition. Many veiled women among their children participated and recorded their protest.
While holding play cards against the French government’s laws, the women chanted slogans and demanded the world to let Muslim women live according to the Islamic lifestyle as per their rights.
The women said, on this day, we protest for those female students who were stopped and banned from going in public wearing their Hijab.
“They were human like us, they were women and had full rights of their freedom but they were banned to go to study, they were banned to go outside and their social life was cut off. Today we remember them and pay a tribute to those brave women who stayed strong against the coercive governments,” a woman told Iran Press.
Addressing the participants, the head of Jamat e Islami Pakistan, Siraj Ul Haq, said that the Hijab is the symbol of our love of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), this is a symbol of our culture, but the West put a ban on it, our sisters in those countries sacrificed their social status but didn’t accept to quit Hijab. We are proud of them, we pay tribute to them, and today we are fighting against the system led by Dajjal (Antichrist), and we will keep fighting”.
The women also held a rally in the city center, and brochures were distributed to promote the Hijab culture and its essentials for Muslim women.
