Desecration of Holy Qur’an; actually insult to all religions: Senior Iranian cleric

Cultural Consulate Embassy of Iran in Pakistan and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Islamabad organized a conference titled “Takreem Quran degar Mazahib ki nigah mein”, from which representatives of different religions and intellectuals and scholars of Islam addressed.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Cultural Consulate Embassy of Iran in Pakistan and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Islamabad organized a conference titled “Takreem Quran degar Mazahib ki nigah mein”, from which representatives of different religions and intellectuals and scholars of Islam addressed.

Ehsan Khazai, Cultural Councilor of Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad, while delivering the opening remarks of the conference, said that this conference was organized against the desecration and insult of the Holy Quran, in which the participation of scholars and intellectuals of all religions and schools of thought is commendable

Addressing the participants of the conference, the chief guest Ayatollah Dr. Ahmed Mubalighi, member of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership, said that this is a grand program which is on behalf of the zealous people of Pakistan for the sanctity of the Holy Quran, and it is our greatest responsibility to unite all Muslims, we have a common opinion about the Holy Qur’an that we will not tolerate any insult because it is a heavenly and universal book.

So insulting the Holy Qur’an is a crime. Yes, it is our duty to make it clear at every forum that the Holy Quran is our red line and we should respect the holy things of all religions.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Islamabad, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, said that he was happy to participate in the gathering of scholars who made this program successful.

Their efforts are commendable. According to international law, insulting the Holy Quran under the guise of freedom of expression is against their own laws.

MWM Pakistan Secretary General Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi said that this issue is not about Judaism and Christianity, the Jardanwala incident was not justified by any Muslim or government representatives.

Pandit Jairam, representative of the Hindu community in Rawalpindi also addressed the conference.
