AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The guesthouse of the people of Al-Amara city in Karbala prepared the "Umm al-Banin" table, the largest table of Arbaeen for the pilgrims.
The Arbaeen, or the 40 days after Ashura is the commemoration of the martyrdom of the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson Hussain, who was martyred in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
According to Iran Press, the hospitality of the Iraqis to the pilgrims of Arbaeen is unique in the world and depicts the pinnacle of unity, love, and affection for the family of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
Every year, millions of pilgrims walk the route of Karbala in Iraq to participate in the Arbaeen rituals in Bayn al-Haramayn( the area between the Imam Hussain Shrine and al-Abbas Shrine).
Every year, Iraqis welcome the pilgrims on the route.
