AhlulBayt News Agency: The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine revealed the mechanism of action of camera systems in counting the number of visitors arriving to commemorate the Ziyarat Arba'een.
Firas Abbas Hamza, the head of the communications division in the Department, said that "the division's staff has the responsibility to provide statistics on the preparation of visitors arriving to the city of Karbala to commemorate the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), through an advanced camera system".
He added that"the camera system is deployed on the axes of the city of Karbala on the one hand (Najaf, Babylon, Baghdad and husseiniya), in addition to the cameras installed on the gates of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the streets surrounding the holy shrine, its task is to accurately count the number of visitors.
"After the end of the Ziyarat Arba'een, the system will be stopped at Twelve O'clock in the afternoon of the 20th of Safar and the accurate statistics of number of visitors who entered the province, will be announced."he added.
The results of the statistics are approved by government agencies, where they are sent by official letter to the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister and the House of Representatives, as well as the Ministries of Planning and Interior, the Karbala Provincial Council, the Shiite endowment and other relevant bodies.
