AhlulBayt News Agency: The chairman of the Media and Communications Authority; Dr. Ali al-Moayyed, confirmed that the Ziyarat Arba'een this year will witness unprecedented global media coverage.
"The second annual conference to announce the start of comprehensive media coverage of the Ziyarat Arba'een, held today at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine with the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, witnessed the presence of Iraqi and Arab and foreign media professionals, and represents the beginning of a global media coverage of Ziyarat Arba'een," Al-Mo'ayyed said in a statement related to the News Center.
He added,"about (1500) media professionals from all over the world will go to Iraq, and we have invited the international media to cover the Ziyarat in different languages, to familiarize the world public opinion with this Ziyarat, its importance and its implications and the generous hospitality and services provided by our people to the visitors of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)".
He pointed out that" the interest in the media activity aims to convey the atmosphere of the Ziyarat, its manifestations, phenomena, effects, consequences, wisdom and goals to the world public opinion, "pointing out that"this requires concerted and mutually reinforcing efforts among all".
He stressed that "the Media and Communications Commission stands by the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in order to make this Ziyarat a success, in their announcement to the public about the occurrence of the largest media coverage in the history of the Ziyarat".
