AhlulBayt News Agency: The Strategic Projects Department affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (A) continues to work in the specialised hospital for cancerous tumours in Basra City, southern Iraq.
Eng. Mohammad Dhiaa, head of the department, said, "The project is being constructed at 20,000 m2 and consists of four buildings."
He pointed out that "the first building is the main hospital building, which has two floors, and the hospital contains several departments (the operations department contains three halls, inpatient rooms with 28 rooms, a laboratory, a chemotherapy, a pharmacy, a diagnostic radiology, emergency, nuclear radiation therapy, and finally the nuclear material production department)."
He added, "The second building has four floors with 46 bedrooms and a restaurant. The third building is for electromechanical services. The 4th building is for radioactive iodine treatment, with one floor. In addition, the project will be provided with the latest medical devices and equipment per global standards."
