AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President listed compassion for the people, concern for religious values and warning officials of religious issues and people's livelihood as among the prominent characteristics of Grand Ayatollah Sobhani and said, "The government's effort in the past two years has always been to pay attention to the concerns of the clerics and maraji".
In a meeting with Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on Monday, Grand Ayatollah Sobhani thanked the services and efforts of the government and the President for his special attention to cultural issues and chastity and hijab, stressing the necessity of protecting the religious values in different parts of the society, especially government offices and centres".
Controlling inflation and stabilising the market and utilising popular capacities, especially the private sector, in economic activities were among other recommendations of Grand Ayatollah to the President.

Referring to the enemies' efforts to stop the growing trend of the country's progress by designing a hybrid war including cultural bloodshed, obstructing the country's production, preventing the export of goods and the entry of foreign exchange resources, Dr Raisi said, "The government is aimed to solve the country's problems despite all these enmities".
Emphasising that the government has never and will never tie people's livelihood to the frowns and smiles of others, the President stated, "Economic growth of 4%, production growth of 6% and record-breaking foreign trade of $53 billion with the development of relations with the countries of the region, are among other measures of the government for the progress of the country".
Dr Raisi described the free insurance coverage of the lower income classes of the society, free water and electricity for the underprivileged, as well as the government's plan to stabilise the purchasing power as among the government's measures to support the underprivileged.
The President described the positive economic indicators and the declining trend of inflation to be a confirmation of the realisation of these goals.
Dr Raisi also referred to the problems of privatisation implementation in the past period, which caused the closure of many production units, and clarified, "In this period, in addition to correcting the transfer process, the revival of closed factories is on the agenda of the government".
