AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Head of Iran’s Seminary stated that the collection and restoration of old Islamic manuscripts needs more serious support, and added,” Recognizing the thought of scholars at the level of the Islamic world and designing short-term courses are of great importance in the text of seminaries.”
Ayatollah Arafi in a meeting with the members of the International Congress Secretariat of Allameh Mirhamed Hussain in Qom on Sunday, August 20 appreciated the high vision and good efforts of the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India and the head of the International Imamate Foundation in reviving the Indian seminary school. He assessed the approach and movement of revivalism as important to play a role in today's world and stated,” Considering the demographic, climatic, scientific, social, political, intellectual and epistemological characteristics as well as the civilizational records of the vast subcontinent of India, rereading and representing the heritage of ancestors of this country are very important.”
The head of Iran’s Seminary considered the reconstruction according to today's needs as one of the priorities of the revitalization of the Indian Seminary and reminded,” due to the scientific and demographic prominence as well as the extent of Indian immigrants in all parts of the world, the work in India can be called trans-Indian with an international influence.”
He further pointed to the issue of academic dissertations and the educational and research capacities of the International Imamate Foundation stating that we should present the titles of theses in the text of seminaries and seminary institutions, he reminded,” the presentation of the topics of specialized theses and the entry of the knowledge basis of seminaries into the fields of Quranic interpretations as well as theological, philosophical and hadith are of great importance.”
