AhlulBayt News Agency: The Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine announced that more than 22,200 m2 of street spaces near the holy shrine will be covered with Saran shade cloth equipped with spray systems.
The head of the Department, Mr. Qassim Hadi Nouri, said that"the process of covering the streets surrounding the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, came under the guidance of His Eminence, the Senior Official of the holy shrine; Sayed. Ahmad al-Safi, to relieve the sun and high temperatures from visitors.
He added that" the Construction Machinery and Equipment Division has installed water spray systems, "pointing out that"works are currently continuing on the Qibla street of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in order to implement the plan that was prepared in advance to serve the visitors of Holy Karbala.
According to Nouri,"the plan this year witnessed a significant expansion from previous years, as it was limited to the area around the holy shrine, but now it has included covering an additional number of streets and alleys leading to the holy shrine.
