The coordinating committee of the strike of political prisoners in Jaw Central Prison commended Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim's stance in support of their hunger strike, stressing that the positions he's taken in their favor "had a tremendous impact on them."

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The coordinating committee of the strike of political prisoners in Jaw Central Prison commended Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim's stance in support of their hunger strike, stressing that the positions he's taken in their favor "had a tremendous impact on them."

In a joint statement on Thursday, August 16, 2023, the political prisoners addressed the Sheikh saying: "We send warm and sincere greetings to you for your great stances in support of us, which are a balm that heals our wounds, a fuel that ignites our resilience, and a thrusting force that energizes our dedication and stability on the path."

They went on to say: "With you we proceed until the end, as the prisoners have met these cherished stances with great pride, and greater responsibility, stances which have had a tremendous impact on them."

They called on Bahrainis to read the words of Ayatollah Qassim especially the "imperative duty that falls on the shoulders of the people of Bahrain" expression.

Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim called for supporting the political prisoners in their hunger strike held in Jaw Central Prison, stressing that "supporting them in their demands is an imperative duty that falls on the shoulders of the people of Bahrain, men and women alike, and at all levels, even if they did not make sacrifices in their favor. For the detainees' sacrifice for the freedom of the people has led them to prison."

Ayatollah Qassim further highlighted in a statement: "Yes and more than a million yeses, our prisoners, who were imprisoned for raising their voice with all the political and civil demands of the oppressed people, are entitled to exercise their inalienable right to recover all their rights and the rights of their people, mainly related to their full freedom and unwaivable dignity, in addition to urgently becoming free of all restrictions associated with their suffering in prison in violation of religious, human and legal rights."
