Pres. Raisi: Spirit of seeking independence, demanding rights common denominator of Iranian, Vietnamese nations

Speaking in a meeting with Mr Vương Đình Huệ, Speaker of the National Assembly of Vietnam and the accompanying delegation, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi mentioned the 50-year history of Iran-Vietnam relations and called the spirit of seeking independence and rights as the common feature of the two nations.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Referring to Iran's great progress in various scientific, technological, production and industrial sectors despite threats and pressures, the President pointed to the great steps taken by the Iranian nation to neutralise these sanctions by focusing on the growth of production and trade and said, "The visit of the Speaker of the Vietnamese Parliament to Iran In addition to the development of parliamentary relations, can be a turning point in the development of economic and commercial relations between the two countries".

Referring to Iran's great progress in various scientific, technological, production and industrial sectors despite threats and pressures, the President pointed to the great steps taken by the Iranian nation to neutralise these sanctions by focusing on the growth of production and trade and said, "The visit of the Speaker of the Vietnamese Parliament to Iran In addition to the development of parliamentary relations, can be a turning point in the development of economic and commercial relations between the two countries".

Dr Raisi considered the development of the relations between the two countries as important in the field of regional and international cooperation and clarified, "The development of the relations between the two countries may not be pleasant for some governments, but what is important is effective measures to secure the interests of the two countries and the two nations".

In this meeting, Vương Đình Huệ also conveyed the warm greetings of the President and Prime Minister of Vietnam to Dr Raisi, described the great achievements of the Iranian nation as admirable and inspiring for the Vietnamese nation despite the cruel sanctions of the West, and by stating that good agreements in the parliamentary departments, commercial, cultural and educational, investment and judicial activities and added, "Vietnam is interested in developing all-round interactions and cooperation with Iran and upgrading these relations to the level of regional and international cooperation".

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Vietnam continued by stating that half a century of good relations between the two countries is a good basis for setting goals and planning for 50 years of better relations in the future, and expressed hope that the visit of the Islamic President of Iran to Vietnam will speed up the drawing of a long-term 50-year roadmap of cooperation of two countries.
