AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Shia Muslims in Indian-controlled Kashmir held a ceremony on Friday at Dal Lake in Srinagar to commemorate Ashura and keep the tradition alive.
According to Iran Press, mourners gathered in the Rainawari and took part in the traditional procession of Ashura day by boat on Dal Lake.During an interview with a correspondent from Iran Press, one of the mourners stated that the ceremony goes back more than 180 years.
