AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An Iranian official has revealed that several electronic and storage devices, seized during a recent Albanian police operation at a camp belonging to the terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), have been handed over to Iran.
Sepehr Khalaji, head of the Iranian government’s information council, said in a tweet on Monday that “part of the hard drives and cases” had arrived in Iran.
He said Iranian experts were engaged in data recovery and identifying the terrorist group’s agents and sabotage cells.
“The results so far are promising,” he added.
On June 20, Albania's police forces entered the MKO's camp northwest of Tirana, leading to intense clashes with members of the terrorist cult. According to a security source cited by IRNA at the time, at least two terrorists were killed and dozens were injured.
Authorities seized 150 computer devices linked to terrorist activities.
The search operation was authorized by Albania's Special Court against Crime and Corruption due to concerns about the MKO's involvement in acts of terrorism and cyber attacks.
Since 2016, Albania has been hosting the MKO after the terrorist cult was expelled from Iraq, where they had been harbored and armed by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to carry out attacks against Iran.
