AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The unfortunate news of insulting Holy Quran pains the hearts of all Muslims and freedom-seeking people of the world. Certainly, burning the Holy Quran is not only an insult to Islam and Muslims, but also an insult to all the religions of the world and its followers, therefore it is the duty of every free person not to remain silent in front of this act and to condemn it and declare the perpetrators to be acquitted.”
Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran’s Seminary, issued a statement strongly condemning the insulting of the Holy Quran and the burning of this holy book in the occupied territories, the text of which is as follows:
In the name of God
The anti-Islamic behavior and the burning of Holy Quran and the hideous face of global Zionism behind this brazen act, in Occupied Palestine, the land of heavenly religions and divine books and the promised land, set fire to the lives of the Muslims of the world and marked another dark spot on the history of those adversaries who claim freedom and human rights. In a situation where the world is faced with a huge wave of Islamism, and according to their own statistics, the Holy Book of Islam is the best-selling book in the Western countries, the enemies of the Muslims of the world and human freedom have plotted to ignite the fire of hatred against the divine truth, and are brutally fighting against logic and Divine proof. For sure, this great audacity, which in reality is nothing but an admission of defeat against the logic of the Quran and the bravery of the youth of the Islamic resistance front, is a continuation of the heinous actions and open insults that have taken place in recent years in the shadow of the support of global Zionism.
If Holy Quran is a silent and ineffective book, why would some people who claim civilization, progress and culture knowing the price they have to pay for these ugly behaviors, allow themselves to set fire to the Quran, the word of revelation, recklessly and impolitely and of course carry it out by desperation?!

Certainly, burning the Holy Quran is not only an insult to Islam and Muslims, but also an insult to all the religions of the world and their followers, so it is the duty of every free person not to remain silent in the face of such heinous act and to condemn it and to acquit the perpetrators.
In this way, we declare our disgust for this sinister and evil act and strongly condemn it, and while thanking religious institutions such as Al-Azhar Society for taking a responsible stance against this insult, we demand similar decisive action from other religious institutions and the general international community. With such heinous actions, it is to prevent its repetition and to bring the perpetrators of this great insult to justice.
