AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi emphasized on the improvement of the seminary programs, paying attention to the students' livelihood issues, the needs of the society, and expressing the thousand-year achievements of the Islamic seminary.
Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the head of Iran’s seminary, met and talked with this Shia source of emulation while attending the house of Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in Qom on Thursday, June 22.
At the beginning of this meeting, Ayatollah Arafi gave a report on the status and ongoing activities of the seminaries and the transformational measures of the management center, including the targeted support plan for students, contemporary jurisprudence, special tasks of students, making services more intelligent, the conference of the centenary of the re-establishment of the seminary of Qom.
He also presented a summary of the results and achievements of his trip to Iraq and meeting with the scholars and authorities of Najaf seminary.
Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi also expressed his satisfaction with this meeting and the activities carried out by the Islamic seminary management; He prayed for the further success of Qom and Najaf seminaries and the dignity and health of the Shia sources of emulation and scholars and recommended some points to the director of the seminaries.
The Grand Ayatollah further appreciated the efforts of the head of Islamic seminaries, and emphasized the attention to the ancient history and thousand-year achievements of the seminaries in the conference of the centenary of the re-establishment of the seminary of Qom.
