Pakistan: CTD falsely charges 3 Shia mourners

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan has arrested 3 Shia mourning youths who have been missing for more than two months on false charges of terrorism.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan has arrested 3 Shia mourning youths who have been missing for more than two months on false charges of terrorism.

According to the statement issued by CTD, 3 so-called terrorists Syed Kamil Haider Abidi son of Syed Farzand Ali Abidi, Syed Hadi Raza Zaidi son of Syed Aftab Haider Zaidi and Syed Zahoor Abbas Zaidi son of Syed Amir Haider Zaidi were arrested while conducting an intelligence based operation in Karachi.

According to the spokesman, six 9 mm imported pistols, 3 hand grenades have been recovered from the accused, 3 cases under the Arms Ordinance and 3 cases under the Explosives Act have been registered against them in CTD police station.

The CTD officials have alleged that the arrested suspects had completed the planning process to target important and sensitive installations, important government buildings and foreign embassies and sensitive personalities in Karachi.

According to the CTD officials, in the light of the revelations of the arrested suspects, various teams of the CTD are engaged in raiding operations, on the identification of the arrested suspects, the arrest of other accomplices and terrorists is expected soon.

It should be noted that these three young Shia mourners were forcibly disappeared from different areas of Karachi during the past two to three months while violating the sanctity of the chador and four walls of the boundary.

The families of these youths spent this period in severe mental agony, anguish and suffering, unfortunately, when no charges could be proved against them, now their arrest has been revealed by falsely accusing them of terrorism.
