AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi pointed out that today the greatness and glory of the scholars of India is long gone, and said,” India used to be one of the great centers of Shia Islam, unfortunately, we have not seen such glory in recent years.”
Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi had a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Kalb Javad Naqvi, Secretary General of the Indian Ulama Assembly, which was held at the office of the director of seminaries in Qom on Sunday, June 11, during which he stated that there should be a plan for the protection of Muslims and Shiites in India. This plan must be complete and comprehensive.”
Ayatollah Arafi pointed out that today we have distanced ourselves from the greatness and glory of the scholars of India, and noted,” India has been one of the great centers of Shia Islam, unfortunately, we have not seen such glory in recent years.”
He continued,” In the management center of seminaries, we have seen the necessary preparation to help strengthen the seminaries of Indian including the seminary of Lucknow.”
The head of Iran’s seminary stated that Iran’s Supreme Leader places a lot of emphasis on academic activities and clarified that measures such as artificial intelligence and nano technology are very important and should be paid attention to.”
Ayatollah Arafi stated that we should have a good interaction with the Sunni Muslims and expressed,” Although the identity of the Islamic unity implies interaction with the Sunnis; But we must keep our beliefs and teach our children the principles.”
At the beginning of this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Kalb Javad Naqvi, Secretary General of Indian Ulama Assembly, said,” We are trying to keep Muslims and Shiites safe in India.”
