AhlulBayt News Agency: Pakistan - Shohada Committee of Skardu organized a grand program to pay homage to the martyrs of 1988 and the martyrs of Gilgit and Baltistan in the main Jama Masjid Skardu.
The President of Anjuman Imamia Agha Baqir Al-Husseini, Deputy Imam of Friday prayer Allama Sheikh Jawad Hafizi and Sporter of Ittihad Bain Muslimeen Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hasan Jafari addressed the program and highlighted the martyrdom and service to the religion of Islam by following the path of martyrs.
Speakers said that it is our responsibility to know why the tragedy of 1988 happened and who were involved in it and what were its motivations, this message needs to be conveyed to the new generation.
The fact that the attackers in the form of Lashkar traveled such a long way to reach Gilgit-Jalalabad and the security agencies did not stop them anywhere and gave them a free pass is proof that the security agencies of that time were involved in this tragedy. And members of only one religion were brutally martyred and funerals were run over by cars.
Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hasan Jafari while talking said that two people have always been targeted by terrorism in this country and they are members of Shia school and they are soldiers of Pakistan Army.
We demand the Army Chief to bring the terrorists to justice. We need to remember these martyrs. The blood of Shia is included in the formation of Pakistan and the survival of Pakistan. A large number of scholars and believers participated in this program.
