AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A fast-breaking ceremony has been held in the Russian capital, Moscow, to mark International Quds Day. The guests, including dignitaries, said their prayers while honoring the struggles of the Palestinian people.
Iran hosted a ceremony to commemorate International Quds Day as part of Moscow’s Ramadan Tent, an annual charity event organized by the Russian Council of Muftis and the Iranian Embassy in Moscow.
International Quds Day was originally designated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, as a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people. However, the event serves to strengthen cultural and political ties between nations as well.
Participants in the event reiterated that the issue of al-Quds is an international one, as thousands of Palestinians have been murdered and hundreds of thousands forced to flee their homes since the beginning of the formation of the Israeli regime. Israeli atrocities have caused strong condemnations worldwide.
Commemorating International Quds Day is even more important today, as the Israeli regime has grown more violent against the people of Palestine and has intensified its extremist behavior. This day is a reminder to all freedom-seekers of the world, who stand up to any oppressors to achieve justice.
