AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will lead the prayers of Eid al-Fitr in the capital city of Tehran, organizers said on Saturday.
The prayers of Eid al-Fitr will be conducted upon the sight of the crescent of the new moon of Shawwal month in Tehran's Musalla (prayers ground), organizers of Eid al-Fitr prayers said.
Eid al-Fitr, one of the most important festivities in Islam, is the first day of the Shawwal month. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.
