AhlulBayt News Agency: The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine organized a Ramadan Quranic session for women in Nigeria.
The director of the African Studies Center affiliated with the department, Sheikh Saad Sattar Al-Shammari, said in a statement that “the center held a Quranic session during the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan in the city of Kano, Nigeria, as part of the special Ramadan program that is held in eleven African countries.”
He added that the aim of the sessions is to spread the Quranic culture among the African society.
The session witnessed the presence of a group of female followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), and a lecture was delivered afterwards on the merits of the Holy Quran and its importance to build an Islamic humanitarian society.
