Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan has congratulated his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.
During a telephone conversation with Amirabdollahian on Thursday, Faisal bin Farhan referred to the achievements of the diplomatic agreement with Iran in Beijing and urged the reopening of the embassies of the two states in the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Amirabdollahian, for his part, offered congratulations on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and welcomed the return of ties between Riyadh and Tehran to normalcy.
He stressed the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop and strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia.
The foreign ministers of the two states agreed to meet each other at the earliest time and make preparations for the reopening of embassies and consulates.
