AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the Syrian Latakia Governorate Council; Engineer Tayseer Habib, confirmed that the initiative of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is a balm for the wounds of those affected in the province.
"On behalf of our people in the Syrian Arab Republic and on behalf of the people of the province, we extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to His Eminence Sayed al-Sistani and the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for providing aid to those affected from our people as a result of the earthquake that struck the province," Habib said in a statement to the News Center.
"The contributions of the Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine and its kind initiatives are a balm for the wounds of those affected in the province, which is a known thing about our brothers and sisters in Iraq, who are known for their inherent generosity," he added.
"With their presence, they were able to treat patients, some of whom were transferred to treatment in Iraq, which is very much appreciated and is a source of respect for the Syrian people in general,"he added.
The delegation provided a detailed explanation of the relief assistance provided by the holy shrine, which includes more than 1,555 tons of relief materials, and more than 220 individuals representing the service and humanitarian effort, to distribute food and medicines, secure shelter supplies, and establish camps for people who lost their homes as a result of the earthquake.
