AhlulBayt News Agency: A number of Sunni prayer leaders and officials in Iran’s northern province of Golestan issued separate messages to appreciate the initiative by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in holding regional Islamic unity conferences.
The prayer leaders and officials in Golestan province has appreciated Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General and executives of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and Mohsen Meschi, Iran deputy at the major Islamic unity center for the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference successfully held in Gorgan.
Abubakr Khojamli, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Negin Shahr, in his message hailed the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference for injecting new life into unity of the Shia and Sunni people in the region.
Akhoond Abdulhay Mirza Ali, prayer leader of Sunni community in Aqqala, in his message lauded the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference for bringing the hearts of the people, particularly the Sunni clerics closer to each other.
Nourali Deylam, manager of the Islamic center in Golestan, praised the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference as an “effective initiative” in line with promoting the culture of solidarity across the country.
He highlighted importance of the conference held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in foiling the plots to divide different ethnical groups, particularly following the riots in Iran.
Nourali Deylam called the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference as another opportunity to reveal the hostile plots against Islam, reiterate the commonalities of Muslims and discuss necessities for the new Islamic civilization.
He noted,” The scientific meeting participated by Iranian and foreign guests, discussing the women’s affairs, introducing the digital and written products in the field of Islamic unity were among the considerable achievements of the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference.”
Abdulrazaq Rahbar, prayer leader of Aqqala, in his message expressed hope that the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference will bring despair to enemies of Islam and Muslims.
Attended by a number of Shia and Sunni scholars from Iran and its northern neighbors, the second regional conference on unity in the world of Islam was held in Gorgan, Golestan province on February 15.
Muslim scholars, elites and religious figures from Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan exchanged views on the issues challenging the world of Islam.
