Banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas hangs over sky of capital of Sierra Leone

The delegation of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine raised the banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) at the Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) school in Freetown, the capital of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The delegation of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine raised the banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) at the Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) school in Freetown, the capital of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The director of the African Studies Center of the Department; Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the delegation headed by the representative of the Preaching Unit at the Center; Sayed Moslim al-Jaberi, visited the Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) School for boys and girls, and met with students and administrative and educational staff at the school.

He added that "the director of the school; Sheikh al-Mami, gave a speech to introduce the Center's delegation, welcoming them, followed by abeautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the member of the delegation and the Holy Quran Institute affiliated with the holy shrine in Najaf".

He pointed out that "the head of the delegation; Sayed Moslim al-Jaberi, delivered an orientation speech to students to urge them to commit to science and learning and to explain its benefits and what distinguishes the educated person from the ignorant, and that nations and societies promote their educated children."

According to al-Shammari, "the delegation presented the banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to the school, and raised it in the school yard, and the school's administrative and educational staff and students took commemorative photos with the delegation, offering their thanks and appreciation to the Center's management for visiting, communicating with them and caring for them."
